How will ID by Gwen give me a unique Service?
As a Professional Stager, we have a thorough understanding of the Real Estate market and the motivations of homebuyers. We recognize and believe that no two properties are alike! Our goal is to help our clients sell their home fast and for top dollars.
As professional Designers, we will share our passion and expertise with you. We will bring our signature trend of comfort and style to your home.

What is Staging?
Staging is the process of preparing a home for sale, regardless of price or location. The house is de-personalized, de-cluttered and its best features are showcased to enhance its flow and appeal, allowing it to sell at the highest price in the shortest possible time. This is true for any market, and during any market condition.
Statistics show that homes that are staged sell at twice the rate than those that aren’t.
What are the Benefits of Staging?
Reduces Market Time and Sells for Best Market Value
Staging statistics (National Association of Realtors, StagedHomes.com) show that a staged home sells 80% faster and between 6.9% and 17% more than a comparable non-staged home.
Outshine the Competition
85% of homebuyers (NAR source) look at online listings. A cluttered or vacant house is not “appealing” in person, but it’s even less appealing on pictures. If a home is cluttered, the room will appear much smaller. We bring our staging talent and a professional photographer to make your house stand out from the competition.
Create a Great First Impression
You only have one chance to make a great first impression!
Statistics show that a buyer formulates his opinion on your house within the first two minutes! By creating a series of great impressions, the buyer is most likely to connect emotionally with your home and visualize living in it! Would you consider going on a first date without looking your best? Your house is one of your best assets: Have it be love at first sight!
When is the best time to Stage my Home?
The best time to Stage your home is definitely before you put it on the market. If you're planning to sell, NOW is the time! It may take a few days to get your house ready for sale at the best price. However, if your house is already on the market, don’t delay any longer and stage it NOW!
Always keep in mind, that you only have one chance to make a first impression!
My Home is Decorated, why do I need to Stage?
Staging is NOT decorating. Decorating a home is “self expression”. Staging is the opposite. It is the art of neutralizing your home so it may increase its range of appeal. As a rule of thumb, think of decorating as personalizing and staging as depersonalizing!
Why should I Stage my Vacant Property?
Buyers only know what they see, not necessarily how it can be! Yes, only 1 out of 10 people can visualize how an empty house may look like when furnished. They wonder about furniture placement, measurements and functionality of space… Even Real Estate Agents looking for potential properties or buyers browsing the Internet, tend to overlook vacant homes because it is too hard to appreciate the function and size of “the vanilla space”. Furnishing a house helps with space definition and functionality. In average, a buyer will stay in a vacant house about 5 minutes, but will linger 40 minutes in a Staged house.
Why can’t I just Stage my own Home?
Home sellers are usually incapable to successfully staging their own homes. Why? Because they are unable to stay objective and neutral. And most sellers are too emotionally attached to their homes. It is the lack of neutrality that affects the effectiveness of the staging. That’s why you need the objective eye and expertise that ID by Gwen can provide!

Why should I use an ASP (Accredited Staging Professional)?
To maximize your earning! We can’t emphasize enough how important it is to hire a certified professional Stager. Every day ASP stagers are called in to de-Stage and re-Stage properties that were staged by people who were neither trained nor qualified. Staging is a profession that requires more than sheer interest! It takes time, commitment, professional training and practice. At ID by Gwen, our staff is trained in the standards, practices, policies, procedures, and skills to serve both the public and the real estate community. Barb Schwarz who created the Home Staging industry and pioneered the concept 35 years ago personally trained our staff.
As ASPs, we can also offer additional marketing benefits by:
- Placing your staged house on the StagedHomes.com website that receives 7 million hits per month.
- Passing on to you our ASP discounts with partners, such as PODS, 1-800-Got-Junk, Moving Supplies and Boxes, Sherwin Williams, William Sonoma brands, Personal Preference Art, True Décor…
How much does Staging cost?
Think of Staging as an investment, not a cost. A Staging investment is a lot less than a first price reduction on the selling price of your house. Typically, when making the decision to reduce the price of your home, you will need a 3%-5% reduction to attract new buyers. We strive to work within your budget to transform your house to appeal to most buyers. For most properties, a Staging consultation detailing what needs to be done to prepare the house for sale is less than the Appraisal or Home Inspection.
Every project is different. Staging prices can vary according to many factors such as house square footage, rooms to be staged, access to the home, etc.
Why should I Stage my House in a difficult Market?
Whether you sell your home during a sluggish market or not, Statistics are consistent and show that, staged homes sell faster than similar homes that have not been staged.
Why hire a Decorator?
You probably won’t need a decorator for the purchase of simple home accessories. However, if you are planning on “purchasing” the content of an entire room or home, hiring a decorator will most likely translate in huge time and cost saving!
Decorators aren’t hired merely for access to trade only items. They are hired because they understand how to navigate the complexities of proportion, color, shape, light and all the components that contribute to the transformation of a living space.
Decorators can also prevent you for making critical costly mistakes that will set you back increasing the final cost and time allocation of your project.
It’s your call!
